What Is The Best Omega 3 Supplement?

There are tons of omega-3 supplements on the market. So what is the best omega-3 supplement to get?

Fortunately, even though there are an overwhelming amount of supplements to choose from, you’ll only be interested in a small fraction of them, as you’ll want to focus on omega-3 supplements that:

  • are molecularly distilled
  • combine EPA and DHA in a 2:1 ratio
  • provide enough EPA and DHA so that you can get at least 1,000 mg of EPA and 500 mg of DHA daily

For more information on why these qualities are important, read “How Many Mg of Omega-3 Per Day?”.

Not only do Now Ultra Omega-3 supplements satisfy these criteria, but they are also affordable and will cost, on average, less than $10 for a month’s worth of supplements.

Now Ultra Omega-3

Information: 1 soft gel provides 500 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA, so 2 soft gels will give you 1000 mg of EPA and 500 mg of DHA.

This is the minimum amount required for daily happiness creation at AlwaysGreater.com.

How Many Mg of Omega 3 Per Day?

At least 1,000 mg of EPA and 500 mg of DHA. That’s how many mg of omega-3 per day you’ll want to take to get credit for daily happiness creation at Always Greater.

As always, to be safe, be sure to check with your doctor before making any changes to any medications or supplements that you take.

But, in any case, this is why it is recommended that you take this amount of omega-3 fatty acids daily, if you want to be happier.

Getting enough omega-3 to see results

In “The Depression Cure”, by Dr. Stephen Ilardi, he says that for EPA, “the best supported daily dosage, used across a number of different studies, is 1000 to 2000 milligrams (mg) of EPA per day.” (p. 76).

He also says that “every published study that’s combined EPA and DHA in a roughly 2:1 ratio has seen an impressive antidepressant effect.”

And, finally, using this rationale, Dr. Ilardi concludes by saying, “I recommend a starting omega-3 dose of 1000 mg of EPA and 500 mg of DHA each day to all of my patients.”

Dr. Stephen Ilardi is not affiliated with Always Greater in any way.

I do, however, find his thoughts on omega-3 useful, which is why I have used his recommended amounts of omega-3 on the Always Greater website.

Also, I recommend that you check out Dr. Ilardi’s book, “The Depression Cure”, on Amazon, and read what he has to say in greater detail.

Even though the book has the word “depression” in the title, the information in it is useful for anyone who wants to be happier, whether or not they’re depressed.

Getting omega-3 supplements

When you buy fish oil supplements to get your omega-3, make sure that the supplements are “molecularly distilled”.

As Dr. Ilardi says, “This designation simply means the manufacturer has refined the oil by taking out the contaminants and impurities all the way down to the molecular level. … [so] you don’t have to worry about the oil being rancid.” (p. 78)

Once you start looking at omega-3 supplements, you’ll see that there’s an overwhelming amount of omega-3 supplements available.

To make this process easier for you, I have provided a recommendation of what omega-3 to get in an article titled “What Is the Best Omega-3 Supplement?”

How Always Greater can help you with omega-3

Some people feel like they notice the benefits of taking omega-3 immediately.

However, according to Dr. Ilardi, it usually takes a week or two (and sometimes up to 4) for people to notice the beneficial impact. (The Depression Cure, p. 74).

In any case, when you begin taking your daily omega-3 supplements, remember to log your achievement with the Daily Happiness Creation tool. You’ll get points for it and naturally create a record of what you’ve done to become happier.

This is just another way that Always Greater can help you become happier faster and easier.
